For instructors
Your course, published as a workbook students actually use.
You send the materials you already have. We author the workbook in the style of your own course, list it for your students, and pay you 70% of every sale.
Two workbooks are live now, running in real university courses.
The product
What a workbook is.
Not a reader and not a slide deck. A workbook students move through, chapter by chapter, at their own pace.
Interactive, not a file
Students read, answer, and check their work in one place. What they do is saved as they go.
Sequential unlock
Chapter two opens once chapter one is finished. Students move through the material in the order you teach it.
The 80% gate
Every chapter ends in a 10-question quiz. A score of 80% or better opens the next chapter.
Unlimited retries
A missed gate quiz can be taken again, as many times as it takes. The bar is mastery, not one good day.
Any device
Phone, tablet, or laptop, in the browser students already use. There is nothing to install.
Royalty
You keep 70% of every sale.
One rate on every copy sold. It does not move with volume, and listing your workbook costs you nothing.
of every sale, paid to you
A worked example
An illustration, not a projection. Your total follows your enrollment.
- Students in the class
- 40
- Price each
- $200
- Sales for the semester
- $8,000
- Your share at 70%
- $5,600
$5,600 of $8,000 comes to you.
Pricing
Students pay $200 for your workbook. One price for the whole class, and access runs for the semester. A new semester brings a new group of students, and the workbook sells again.
Sales channels
Three ways a student gets your workbook.
Pick one or use all three. Payment and delivery are handled for you.
Direct purchase
A student buys your workbook in the bookstore and has access straight away.
Printed code cards
Hand printed codes out in class or stock them at the campus store. A student redeems the code and is in.
Codes in bulk
Take a block of codes for one section, or for a campus bookstore to sell on.
Students buy in the Global Audiology Consulting bookstore and open the workbook on the workbook page. You never handle a payment.
Before you send
What to prepare.
Send what already exists. Nothing needs tidying first. A complete set starts the clock, and the workbook is ready about two weeks later.
- Your syllabus, with the week by week schedule.
- Slide decks or lecture notes for each week.
- Quiz banks, old exams, and problem sets you already use.
- Any earlier version of the class, however rough.
- The rubric or standard you grade against.
- A link to the folder that holds it all. Links are easier than attachments.
Licensing
Licensing, in plain English.
- You keep your intellectual property. The course is yours before, during, and after.
- A licensing and royalty agreement is signed before authoring begins. It sets out what we may publish, for how long, and what you are paid.
- No agreement, no workbook. Writing does not start until it is signed.
Get started
Two ways to start.
Both end in the same place: your course published, with 70% of every sale coming to you.
